Buhari Vanguard urges INEC to ignore the Security chiefs and go on with the elections as scheduled

The events of today have finally confirmed the allegation
by the All Progressives Congress that the Nigerian Army,
Police and other security agents have merged with the
Peoples Democratic Party PDP. The fact that the security
chiefs today totally pushed the agenda of PDP and
Presidency to postpone the election and finally scuttle the
general election has confirmed that the security chiefs are
working for President Jonathan and the PDP and not
Nigeria. This reason is laughable and childlike since the
security chiefs have fought Boko Harram for years.
The letters written by the security chiefs to INEC as
confirmed by Prof Attahiru Jega claiming that they cannot
provide security for the elections and that they will begin
some specific operations to end Boko Harram that will
begin on the 14th of February and end in six weeks time is
a clear indication and confirmation that the military chiefs
have connived with the presidency and PDP to plunge
Nigeria into violence and scuttle our hard earned
democracy.
We therefore urge INEC led by Prof Attahiru Jega to go
ahead and conduct the general elections as scheduled.
Since the Military chiefs has publicly declared that they
cannot provide security for Nigerians, it is time for
Nigerians to secure themselves and provide security for
themselves as shown by the civilian JTF in the North East.
We urge the Military Chiefs to immediately resign as the
purpose of appointing them has failed.
Our democracy was bought at a high cost. Many Nigerians
sacrificed their lives for our democracy and the
independence of Nigeria. We urge all Nigerians to rise and
defend our democracy and independence. We remind the
Independent Electoral Commission that they were created
to be independent and we urge them to remain same. We
hope to go to the polls to cast our votes on the 14th of
February, 2015.
